Purpose

This role is responsible for managing essential administrative tasks for the Kitchen Department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of kitchen processes. It requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, supporting stock control, supplier coordination, compliance documentation, scheduling, and financial reporting. By maintaining excellent organisation and communication, this role enables our kitchen teams to deliver the very best to our clients, contributing to an exceptional dining experience at the National Theatre.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the key liaison between internal departments, chefs, suppliers, and event teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Accurately input stock take data, maintain stock systems, and place food orders while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Prepare and update recipe cards for costing and specifications, along with maintaining accurate menu formats and event folders.
  • Assist in building chef planners within budget and ensure timely submission under the Head Chef's direction.
  • Maintain goods receipt records, update event trackers, and ensure all ISO paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Oversee and update event orders board, ensuring clear communication of changes and requirements.
  • Support general administration, including room bookings, signage creation, till tab setups, and supplies orders.
  • Provide analysis for seasonal packages, update financial trackers, and manage payment and partnership summaries.
