Key Account Manager - FTC

The role:

This is a 2 year FTC to manage a portfolio of BA / Iberia and American Airlines trade partners to maximise revenue and drive tactical activity and performance. This is a remote role based in Germany.

What you’ll do:

  1. Deliver revenue by understanding customer needs and matching to relevant products
  2. Analyse data and use insights to drive revenue-generating/share shifting actions
  3. Deep penetration of decision making unit in accounts to expand influence map
  4. Conduct high touch performance reviews to drive deal performance via face to face
  5. Negotiation of bespoke deals, implementing SMA activities
  6. Leverage waiver and favour budget allocation to maximise return of investment
  7. Sourcing new business opportunities
  8. Upsell opportunities to existing customer base
  9. Delivery of face to face and digital conferencing/training
  10. Proactively source market intel and insights and feedback
  11. Create and execute high touch account development plans for portfolios
  12. Strengthen relationships by acting as a touchpoint for escalation of issues or waiver/favour initiation
  13. Face of BA/IB to the market, and represent the views from market
  14. Representation for BA/IB and collaboration with joint partners
  15. Promote, educate and drive NDC adoption across market
  16. There is an expectation that you will undertake ad-hoc work on an exceptional basis or provide relevant cover for other team tasks

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  1. Digitally minded - demonstration of utilising digital selling and other innovative ways of working to achieve revenue targets
  2. CRM management
  3. Engaging audiences via remote and live events, etc.
  4. Advanced communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  5. Excellent communication
  6. Strong work ethic
  7. Drive and ambition needed to exceed targets
  8. Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced environment
  9. Ability to evaluate data and metrics effectively to ensure focus on commercial opportunities (essential)
  10. Experience of building productive working internal and external relationships in a multi-cultural hub-based environment

Your experience:

  1. Minimum of 2 years account management or equivalent commercial experience (desirable)
  2. Language relevant to the market(s) served
