Key Account Manager
Location: Scotland
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 PA DOE & Bonus

Simon Acres Recruitment is proud to represent a leading company in the industry, seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused, sales driven and proactive individual to drive new customer acquisition, build relationships with existing housebuilder customers, and manage the sales cycle from tender to handover.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Build relationships at all levels within regional head offices.
  2. Develop territory portfolio with new customer acquisition.
  3. Work with key contacts to develop new solutions to add value.
  4. Drive growth of revenue and margin.

Business Planning & Reporting:
  1. Produce annual sales forecasts and set territory targets.
  2. Develop a comprehensive business plan to support the sales forecast.
  3. Create account action plans with clear goals and activity plans.
  4. Report on activities and objectives via CRM systems and provide monthly updates.

Sales Cycle Management:
  1. Own the management of enquiries from start to finish, ensuring timely updates and outcome tracking.
  2. Provide commercial intelligence on pricing proposals and enquiry outcomes.
  3. Coordinate the arrangement of samples and show homes as necessary.
  4. Oversee project implementation in line with agreed processes.

Other Responsibilities:
  1. Negotiate price increases and manage pricing where applicable.
  2. Stay informed of market and competitor trends.

Previous Experience & Key Skills:
  1. Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  2. Strong sales performance and knowledge of route-to-market strategies.
  3. Experience in kitchens, bathrooms, or bedroom design is advantageous.
  4. Educated to degree level or equivalent.

Key Skills:
  1. Strong networking abilities at all levels.
  2. Proven ability in multi-level solution selling.
  3. Business acumen and commercial awareness.
  4. Skilled negotiator with excellent presentation abilities.
  5. High degree of autonomy and ability to work as part of a team.
