Key Account Manager

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to join Owens Group. We are a market leading transport logistics organisation with a South Wales based head office, with regional presence in the North West. This new role will be based from our Carrington facility, with travel throughout the North West region.

In this role, you will take ownership of our existing key accounts, nurture strong partnerships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong task ownership, and be an excellent team player.

You will be the key in maintaining solid trusting relationships with our customers and act as the main point of contact between them and our internal teams.

The person we are looking for must have previous sales experience ideally within the Distribution, Logistic and Warehousing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the main contact in all matters related to customer concerns and needs.
2. Creating and managing sales opportunities in your customers with the account teams.
3. Build and strengthen customer relationships to achieve long-term partnerships.
4. Developing and managing long-term relationships with key clients.
5. Screen and assess potential new contracts evaluating the level of risk associated with the contract.
6. Driving revenue growth and maximising profitability.
7. Negotiating and renewing contracts.
8. Maintain excellent communication with clients and address any concerns they may have.
9. Monitoring account performance and providing key insights to senior management.

What we're looking for:

1. Experience in Account Management is ESSENTIAL.
2. Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
3. A sales background is desirable.
4. Experience in maintaining and developing existing accounts.
5. Ability to juggle multiple tasks, whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail.
6. Be proactive and able to problem solve and think out of the box.
