Junior WordPress Web Developer

We're seeking a Junior WordPress Web Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development to join a well-established creative marketing agency based in Winchester.

You will work closely with the creative director, digital director, and development team to produce high-quality CMS-driven websites and have the opportunity to produce bespoke web/mobile applications.

This company is trusted to deliver creative design, web development, inbound marketing, and media production for some of the biggest brands in the world.

You should have a degree in web design, computer science (or a similar background) and have a passion for digital technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Experience in creating custom WordPress plugins.
2. Degree in Graphic Design.
3. Flawless HTML5, CSS3, and Sass skills.
4. Strong PHP and MySQL skills.
5. Experience working with Grunt/Gulp.
6. Experience working with RESTful APIs.
7. Experienced in building and maintaining responsive websites.
8. Experience using Jenkins or GitLab.
9. Ability to thoroughly test, debug, and validate the code.
10. Good understanding of UX/UI principles.
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
13. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
14. Strong communication skills.

Advantage but not essential:

1. Experience working with Vue, React, or Angular JS.
2. Knowledge of Laravel or Symfony frameworks.
3. Experience writing bash shell scripts.
4. Technical SEO experience.
5. Experience setting up and maintaining Ubuntu and RedHat servers.
6. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

£22,000 - 30,000 based on experience - Great benefits.
