Junior Structural Engineer

Our client, a leading engineering firm with a long and distinguished history in the construction of landmark structures around the world, is seeking two talented Junior Structural Engineers to join their dynamic team. Role Description

As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the conceptual and detailed design of permanent and temporary structures, particularly in steel, as well as the design of specialist equipment related to heavy lifting and moving projects. You will also be involved in erection engineering, static analyses of structures using FEA computer programs, and the preparation of detailed calculations and drawings.

Must Have Skills

1. Graduate or studying Civil or Structural Engineering (expecting to graduate within the next few months)
2. Experience in the use of finite element analysis computer programs
3. Experience in the use of computer drafting programs (AutoCAD)
4. Good general IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email Systems)
5. Good presentation and communication skills
6. Knowledge of Eurocodes, particularly EN 1993

Nice to Have Skills

1. Master's degree or due to be completed within this academic year
2. Experience in analysis and design of structures, particularly in steel
3. Experience in design of temporary works, particularly related to heavy lifting and moving projects
4. Some site experience
