As part of a programme of continued investment and expansion of the ExCeL London campus, ExCeL London Hospitality is opening a brand new street food dining destination, coming soon as part of the Immerse LDN development. The Waterfront Street Kitchen and Bar will offer a fresh and modern street food dining experience. Nestled in a brand-new, casual, contemporary space, this venue has been designed to make the most of our unique waterfront location within the Royal Docks.

Overall Purpose of the Role:

As our Junior Sous Chef, you will work with the Head Chef and key stakeholders to deliver a consistent, compliant, and profitable department in accordance with all Statutory Requirements, Company Policies, and Health and Safety Procedures.

1. Partake in food ordering and stock rotation
2. Minimize and monitor waste wherever possible
3. Assist with management on financial budget and targets
4. Manage and develop team members to progress within the kitchen hierarchy
5. Assist with implementation and inspire the team with current food trends and cooking techniques
6. Follow company standards and deliver to a high degree of success

Who you are:

1. Experience within a similar role
2. Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to engage and motivate others
3. Willingness to lead by example and inspire the kitchen team with guidance from the Head Chef
4. NVQ Level 2/3 in professional cookery or equivalent
5. Intermediate food hygiene certification
