As a Junior Scientist, you’ll support one of these units and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and commercial teams, to bring our revolutionary products from concept to large-scale production.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Help reduce the global environmental footprint by assisting in the development of green construction materials.
2. Unleash your inner scientist by conducting cutting-edge lab experiments, analyse data, and develop innovative new products that challenge traditional material science.
3. Assist in completing scientific testing and production to ensure projects are delivered on time.
4. Work closely with experts from various departments to foster knowledge-sharing and teamwork as we work toward a common goal.
5. Prepare and test samples according to client or company-specified methods.
6. Accurately enter and maintain laboratory test data within our systems.
7. Use market research and attend industry conferences to stay up-to-date on trends and help inform the development of new, innovative products.
8. Collaborate with other R&D business units and participate in long-term projects.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

1. PhD degree in Civil Engineering (Cement and Concrete Technology), Materials Science, or a related field.
2. Experience in a Cement and Concrete research laboratory setting.
3. Understanding of scientific principles and methodologies of designing concrete as construction material.
4. Exposure to or interest in milling methods (e.g., ball, disk, drum, hammer) for material processing. Hands-on experience is a plus but not mandatory.
5. Foundational knowledge of material characterisation techniques such as PSD, XRD, SEM/EDX, or TGA, with a willingness to learn and gain proficiency.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a desire to collaborate in diverse, multidisciplinary environments.
7. Passion for innovation and sustainability, particularly in the cement and concrete industry.
