About Us

As one of the world's leading consultancy, construction engineering and operating firms, we hold ourselves responsible for today's biggest challenges; fighting climate change, the digital transition and meeting the needs of growing populations. We do this by designing smart, green infrastructure, transport and buildings, creating a sustainable future for communities everywhere.

In the UK we're proud to be delivering some of the most iconic projects which help connect people, protect our environment and meet emission reduction targets. From motorways to tramways, nuclear power plants to smart cities, clients choose us to help them solve their most complex challenges - delivering climate-responsible growth that meets the needs of communities, industry, and the planet.

Egis in the UK has grown incrementally, through acquisition, and through the establishment of branch offices of Egis companies in France. This has resulted in a fragmented legal structure, which we are now consolidating to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. The scope of the consolidation applies to the six legal entities in the Consulting and Engineering space.

Due to this, we are now looking for a Project Manager to join the team on an initial 18 month Fixed Term Contract, with potential for extension.

This Legal Entity Consolidation is part of a programme of growth and transformation activities in the UK, driven either by group initiatives or local initiatives. These wider activities include:

  • An acquisition programme to source and search target companies to acquire to expand our capabilities
  • Launching key markets in the UK through organic growth such as water and organically enhancing UK capability in others (i.e., nuclear).
  • Full development of UK shared corporate services, and roll-out to all entities.
  • Harmonisation of employee benefits and T&C.
  • Roll out of a new group ERP system finance, project financials, procurement, HR.
  • Roll out of a group-wide Project Management tool.

This role of UK Transformation Project Manager is focused on the role out of the legal entity consolidation programme, but could engage other areas of the transformation and growth activities as workload permits. In particular, this could include the M&A workstream.

This role will directly report to the UK Managing Director and provides key support to the UK General Counsel in particular as well as other corporate service leads.

The role will involve excellent exposure to the wider Egis Group, our UK businesses and cross-functional teams and requires the personal credibility to develop successful professional relationships with internal peers and external stakeholders. The right candidate will be a self-starter, and willing to be agile and adaptable to a changing business environment.

Whilst the role will work under the supervision of the UK MD, the individual appointed will need to have a high degree of self-motivation and be confident to work independently but understand when to seek help and support. It is a high profile role, dealing with significant business change and risk, and must be handled sensitively and professionally.

About The RoleMain responsibilities include (for legal entity consolidation):
  • Support the development of the roadmap for the consolidation of 6 legal entities into Egis UK; the roadmap itself will be owned by the UK MD and drafted with the UK General Counsel (note this will also involve external legal support)

  • Assist with the development of an action plan and timeline for each entity to successfully complete the corporate reorganisation and consolidation noting that it will cut across legal, finance, HR, performance, MarCom etc.
  • Identify and escalate any risks and issues encountered throughout the process, working with the UK General Counsel and report regularly to senior management
  • Engage in and support other transformation activities as required, and workload allows.
What do we need from youSkills:
  • Advanced Excel and Office skills
  • Stakeholder engagement skills working across a complex matrix organisation.
  • Experience of business transformation preferable but not essential
  • Able to work to tight deadlines with accuracy
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business leads
  • Ability to track multiple projects, and drive progress and actions towards completion.
Educational Background & Experience:
  • Ideal for someone a few years post-graduation/second jobber with strong analytical abilities, seeking experience in corporate and business matters
