Job description

Junior Project Manager (PMO) - Markets Transformation

A Leading Financial Services business are looking to hire a Junior Project Manager or PMO; who ideally holds experience in either Markets or Regulatory projects (Consent Order)

  • £500 - £575 per day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
  • The role is an initial 9 month contract with scope to roll into a couple of years
  • The role is a Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 from home)
  • Based in London, City

Role Description

Markets Transformation is working on the remediation related to the 2020 Consent Order.

The Junior PM/PMO is expected to provide project management support for the program by:

  • Prepare and maintain project plans, track tasks and commitments
  • Prepare status reports
  • Maintain risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions
  • Track documents, schedule meetings, document minutes of meetings
  • Assist in submitting updates as needed to meet reporting requirements

Over time, the candidate is expected to be able to participate in:

  • Issue identification and resolution,
  • Risk identification and resolution
  • Dependency identification and tracking;
  • Plan and facilitate working group meetings

Key Skills (beneficial)

  • Experience on regulatory programs a plus
  • Markets knowledge (e.g., risk and controls, trade life-cycle, products, etc.) a plus

Basic but fundamental skills required:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT,
  • Detail-oriented
  • Inquisitive, asks questions
  • Organized
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understand the mechanics of a project plan to highlight knock on impacts of changes
