Role Overview

The candidate will be a hands-on, can-do person supporting the overall Program Management of pre-determined projects dealing with all Internal and External Stakeholders. You will assist in supporting an experienced PM in managing a project from 'kick-off' to delivery, monitoring and managing all aspects of the programme.


The Junior PM will work to develop skills to ultimately become competent in the following areas:

  1. Set up of the project management process for executing the project.
  2. Take ownership of all aspects of the Project and develop a financial baseline.
  3. Communicate to Senior Management through Project Reviews and other means, updates and snapshots of the Project including highlighting issues in a timely manner.
  4. Manage the following aspects of the Project:
    1. Overall Engineering development efforts
    2. Contract Deliverables and Contract Milestones
    3. Risk management plan development and mitigation strategy.
    4. Sub Contractors and Distributors, as required
    5. Interface with Civil Construction contractors
  5. Document the Project including:
    1. Maintaining the Project Gantt or Schedule
    2. Reporting and consolidating all other Project related documentation including that from Civil or other Sub Contractors and Distributors.
    3. Working with the sales team and logistics to ensure that the Commercial, Licence, Shipping and related documents are in process and/or complete, accurate and/or available within the related Project timeframes.
  6. Achieve Factory, Site and Final Acceptance processes in conjunction with QA/QC Team.
  7. Confirm System complete to BoM prior to Shipping and on arrival at Site including Install Tools and Spares Packages and in full compliance with the documentation requirements.
  8. Work with the identified Installation and training resources to ensure that all availability, travel, planning, labor and other resources are in place to complete the Project.
  9. Manage Customer expectations including installation timeframe.
    1. Ensure completion of Project v Plan including Estimate to Complete.
    2. Work with other installation OEM Vendors as required.
  10. Manage handover to the Customer including completion of Final Acceptance.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Degree educated preferably in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or relevant experience.
  2. A good communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  3. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronic equipment or complex multi-disciplined equipment or systems ideally with knowledge of inspection systems would be useful but not essential.
  4. Prepared to travel and remain at Project Sites or location for prolonged periods.
  5. Must be eligible to live and work in the UK and to travel to the EMEA regions with restrictions.
