Job Title: Junior Mechanical Project Manager

Location: London

Salary: £60K - £65K + Package

The Role:

As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee mechanical projects with values ranging up to £2.5 million. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing and coordinating all aspects of mechanical installations, including LTHW, CHW, pipe fitting, ventilation, ductwork, and sanitary fixtures.
  2. Conducting site assessments and working directly with clients to ensure project specifications are achieved.
  3. Ensuring project progress aligns with budget, quality, and safety standards.
  4. Supervising subcontractors, scheduling work, and coordinating multiple mechanical trades on-site.
  5. Monitoring and reporting on project progress to senior management.
  6. Preparing and submitting necessary documentation, including RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) and technical submittals.
  7. Leading regular site health and safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  8. Managing project finances, procurement, and material orders.
  9. Ensuring quality control throughout project execution.
  10. Attending client progression meetings and completing site documentation at project close.

The Ideal Candidate:

You will be an experienced project manager or site supervisor with a mechanical background, capable of handling commercial projects and overseeing multiple on-site activities. Additional requirements:

  1. Experience in mechanical project management within the building services industry.
  2. Strong supervisory skills, with a current CSCS card (ideally at supervisor level) and SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  4. Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  5. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
