The Role

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you’ll deliver small to medium projects that contribute to the portfolio of work, delivering within time, cost and quality parameters. You’ll oversee all aspects of project delivery; leading the project team, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring and reporting progress. You’ll support the development of the project business case, working with project sponsors, business owners and other key stakeholders.

You will

• Ensure that the project is adequately planned and structured, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as required
• Lead, engage and motivate the project team to deliver objectives and outcomes
• Provide analysis and forecasting to help support the delivery of projects.
• Prepare and maintain relevant plans including project, critical path, communication and implementation plans
• Ensure all risks and issues associated with the project are documented, reported and actively managed.
• Ensure project reports and documents are prepared and delivered on time to high standards
• Ensure that appropriate change management approaches are developed to support produce the best outcomes for the business.

To be successful as our Junior Project Manager it would be ideal if you are studying towards a project management qualification and have some experience within a change environment or regulated industry.

You’ll need:

• A solid understanding of the project lifecycle and the role of a Junior Project Manager within this
• Experience of managing multiple business tasks simultaneously
• A foundational understanding of waterfall, agile and iterative methodologies
• Proficient across MS Office and as well as an awareness of project planning software, i.e. Microsoft project
• Solid analytical and problem solving capability as well as good written and communication skills to support report writing and presentations
