Junior Post-Quantum Cryptographer

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Post-Quantum Cryptography Engineer to join their team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cryptographic security, particularly in post-quantum solutions. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of cryptographic principles and a strong willingness to learn and contribute to the development of quantum-resistant security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in researching and implementing post-quantum cryptographic solutions in line with NIST standards.
• Support cryptographic analysis, including evaluating encryption methods and cryptographic primitives.
• Contribute to cryptographic inventory management, including the documentation of cryptographic assets.
• Help identify potential security risks and assist in mitigating vulnerabilities in cryptographic implementations.
• Work with programming languages like Python and C++ to support secure cryptographic solutions.
• Stay informed on advancements in quantum computing and post-quantum cryptography.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cryptographic principles, including encryption techniques and cryptographic protocols.
• Some experience with Python or C++ (academic or practical).
• Interest in post-quantum cryptography and willingness to learn about emerging security challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
