Junior Oil Operator

Our client is a small, dynamic company who specialise in tailored bunkering solutions for the Maritime industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or transition into the maritime industry. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment. You will join a small, energetic team, primarily focusing on coordinating and supporting bunkering operations as well as other ad hoc duties.

Key Responsibilities

1. Scheduling and Coordination: Plan and manage bunkering operations, ensuring timely and efficient fuel deliveries.
2. System Updates: Accurately update operational systems with delivery schedules, fuel quantities, and client details.
3. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with suppliers, Captains, vessel agents, and port authorities to confirm requirements and resolve scheduling challenges.
4. Documentation: Assist with preparing and managing operational documents, such as bunker delivery notes (BDNs), safety checklists, and compliance reports.
5. Operational Oversight: Support the execution of bunkering operations while learning and adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
6. Team Support: Assist with administrative tasks, data entry, and other general duties during quieter periods.
7. Problem-Solving: Work with the team to address operational challenges and contribute to process improvements. Track stock inventory and keep reports updated.

Qualifications And Skills

1. No prior bunkering or maritime experience is required, but experience in logistics, planning, or operations is a plus.
2. Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or similar software, generally tech savvy.
5. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
