They are currently seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support the team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills and experience in a dynamic, hands-on role within a collaborative engineering environment.
THE GRADUATE DEVELOPER OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a motivated, technically curious individual with a foundational understanding of networking. This role is perfect for a recent graduate, career switcher, or someone with entry-level experience who is passionate about a career in network engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for network-related incidents and service requests.
- Work with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve firewall, switch, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with routine configuration changes and network upgrades under supervision.
- Monitor network performance using tools such as PRTG or Auvik.
- Support the service desk by investigating escalated network cases.
- Maintain accurate records of work and incidents via the ticketing system (SysAid).
- Assist in equipment installations, including new switch deployments and patching.
- Participate in training and shadowing sessions to build your technical skills.
- Contribute to project-based work including network refreshes and expansions.
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
- IT-related qualification or equivalent hands-on experience (required)
- Cisco CCNA certification or currently studying towards it (desirable)
- Basic understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and VLANs
- Familiarity with networking hardware (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls)
- Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring tools (desirable)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and grow under the mentorship of senior engineers
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
