Job description

Junior Middle Office Analyst - Dubai - Relocation Required

Head off to a sunnier climate and join an excellent hedge fund based in Dubai. We're working with a boutique manager based in the busy financial district. This is a highly valued support role that reports into the COO but carries ownership of the full middle office process.

As part of a small overall team, you will be expected to lend a hand to various duties whilst leading on others. From an operations perspective, you will oversee trade instruction and settlement, position reconciliation, corporate actions, fund expense payment processing and cash management, etc. In addition to this, you will also be involved in:

  • Preparing regular reports and filings to regulatory bodies.
  • Handling custodian and brokerage trading account opening.
  • Month end NAV.
  • Compliance monitoring and Reporting.
  • Review for daily operations reports provided by Fund Admin.
  • Building up internal policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Investment restriction monitoring.
  • Corporate Finance.
  • Co-Chief Investment Officer Support.

As you can see this is a hugely broad and involving opportunity with lots of exposure to the wider business, not just ops. Candidates must be able to exhibit their experience in relatively similar broad middle office roles, ideally on the buyside. Fund admin/accounting backgrounds could also be interesting for this but it must be noted that this is a middle office role. Knowledge of DIFC and DFSA reporting will be highly beneficial but not mandatory.

Being in Dubai, there is a very attractive, tax-free package on offer; not to mention the incredible surroundings you’ll be working in! Truly fantastic opportunity!
