Junior Mechanical Design Engineer (Manufacturing)

Salary: £28,000-£38,000 + Progression + Overtime + Company Benefits

Location: Rochdale

Are you a Junior Mechanical Engineer or Graduate looking for a varied role offering a platform to build your career through specialist training, and to work on cutting edge projects within a market-leading company who pride themselves on progression from within?

This market-leading company manufactures and provides a range of specialist industrial equipment to a broad client base across numerous sectors, including Hospitals, Energy, and Oil and Gas. Due to an ever-increasing workload, they are looking for an individual to head up their friendly design team.

In this varied role, you will receive initial training as you shadow more senior members of the tight-knit team of 5 Engineers. You will then be responsible for hands-on design work on Solidworks and project support as you liaise with production, clients, and members of the senior leadership team.

This exciting role would suit an aspiring Mechanical Engineer or similar looking to join a tight-knit team within a market-leading company who offer the chance to continually upskill yourself and to further your career.

The Role:

1. Receive initial training and shadow senior engineers
2. Involved in the design process from start to finish to ensure products are manufactured effectively
3. Work within a team of 5 engineers
4. Carry out hands-on design work
5. Liaise with production team, senior leadership, and clients

The Person:

1. Mechanical Graduate / Junior Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
2. Manufacturing background
3. Proficient in Solidworks
