Junior IT Software Engineer

About The Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer/Developer who MUST have experience in C#, Next.js & React. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding JavaScript, TypeScript & MySQL, with some exposure to Azure or other cloud computing platforms being a bonus. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their skills while contributing to exciting projects in a collaborative team.

This is a hybrid role, at our Wolverhampton NDC, with a minimum of 3 days office.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain web applications using Next.js & React, focusing on performance and scalability.
2. Work with teams to integrate applications with APIs and databases, particularly using MySQL.
3. Write clean, maintainable code using JavaScript, TypeScript, and C#.
4. Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas for improvement.
5. Report to and work closely with the Lead Software Engineer to meet project goals and timelines.

Preferred Skills

1. Must have practical experience with Next.js & React for web development.
2. Must have practical experience with C#.
3. Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript.
4. Experience working with MySQL databases.
5. A portfolio demonstrating relevant projects and skills.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Some knowledge of Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
8. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
