Job Role:

Junior IT Engineer

Salary: £14,286 (FTE £23,810)

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Bath

The Role

The main purpose of this role is to provide IT support to all staff, including setting up and configuring IT equipment such as laptops and mobile phones, as well as creating and deleting user accounts across multiple systems and managing user permissions.

Responsibilities Include

1. Working alongside colleagues, responding to and resolving incident tickets raised through our helpdesk portal.
2. Setup and configure laptops using imaging software and installing any required software.
3. Performing inductions for new members of staff, involving how to use our systems and best working practices.
4. Assist senior IT staff with the rollout of projects, systems, and software. This may include an element of off-site work.

Qualifications / Requirements

1. IT course at College level Desirable (A Level or BTEC etc)
2. Ability to communicate with people of all levels and technical abilities in a clear and concise manner and where needed, without the need for technical jargon.
3. Break-fix work on own equipment at home or for family/friends.
4. Previous customer service experience, not necessarily in an IT role.
