Job description

We're seeking a passionate Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join a dynamic ground and earthworks company. You'll be involved in all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring the well-being of our team and the protection of our assets.


Your Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively prevent workplace injuries and equipment damage.
  2. Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety practices.
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and welfare legislation.
  4. Oversee the provision and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  5. Verify the safety and compliance of plant, equipment, materials, and services.
  6. Identify and mitigate potential hazards on construction sites.
  7. Promote safe working methods and stay up-to-date with legislative changes.
  8. Provide H&S input during tendering, planning, and pre-contract stages.
  9. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance.

What You'll Bring:
  1. NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
  2. IOSH membership (or working towards).
  3. Valid UK driving license.
  4. Solid understanding of H&S legislation.
  5. Previous experience in a construction H&S role (preferred).
