Leeds University Union is growing its Marketing and Communications department, creating an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that‘s at the forefront of using data and insight to make sure every student loves their time at Leeds.

By joining our team as a Junior Graphic Designer, you’ll have the chance to be part of this exciting transformation and make a real impact on the student experience at Leeds.

This role is perfect for an artistic designer, passionate about students, inclusivity and creating eye-catching but accessible designs.

About you

With experience in a design role, creating assets including print, digital, social media assets, and possibly moving image, you will have an interest in working for a charity that aims to ensure every student at the University of Leeds loves their time at university.

You will be a forward thinker, keeping track of new and upcoming design trends and software, thinking outside the box and confident to create designs from concept to completion.

You’ll need:

  • To be proficient in Adobe, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • To be able to work within a team.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience creating social assets and print assets.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deal with a diverse range of people.
