Salary: £26,000 - £29,000

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate geotechnical engineer to take the next step in their career amongst a team of geotechnical consultants. The successful engineer will be provided with specialist training on a variety of ground investigation projects, with the support of 7 other offices for stability and varied opportunities.

The Junior Geotechnical Engineer selected will be assisting with:

1. Site walkovers.
2. Carrying out ground investigations and desk studies.
3. Taking soil samples.
4. Bore-hole logging.
5. Preparing phase plans.
6. Writing factual and interpretive reports.
7. Working on in situ testing.
8. Observing day-to-day tasks to develop geo-environmental & geotechnical knowledge.

The successful Junior Geotechnical Engineer must:

1. Have some experience in Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineering.
2. Have a minimum of a BSc in geology, engineering geology, geography, geotechnical engineering, environmental science or a relevant subject (MSc preferable).
3. Be keen to learn and develop geo-environmental and geotechnical skills.
4. Be willing to work outdoors and travel for work.
5. Hold a full UK driving licence.
6. Be commutable to Glasgow and surrounding areas.
7. Have a full right to work in the UK.
