Job Title: Junior Water Technician

Duration: Full Time, permanent.

Responsibilities

As a Junior Field Technician, you will support and undertake day-to-day activities across a multitude of our clean water services, primarily focused on providing support on asset verification, DMA validation, operability testing, trunk main isolations, logger and probe deployments providing hands-on support. You will assist in carrying out DMA flow and pressure tests and gain experience in optimisation techniques to spot anomalies, find resolutions and ensure a safe result.

Ideal candidates should possess:
  1. Certification or training in water engineering, water treatment, or a related field would be advantageous.
  2. Prior experience in water asset management/water treatment or similar roles is highly valued.
  3. A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  4. Possession of a valid driving licence would be advantageous.
Training

The company will conduct comprehensive mandatory training sessions to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills required for the role.

Shift Pattern

The standard working hours are 40 hours per week, covering day shifts, with occasional flexibility based on specific project needs. Additionally, once every four weeks, there will be a requirement for night shifts, spanning from Monday to Thursday, that you should be available for.

Salary and Package
  1. 3 month contract with potential to go permanent.
  2. Salary: 28,000 per annum plus 1.5x overtime rates OTE circa 33,000 per annum.
  3. Pension: 4% employer contribution.
  4. Holiday: 20 days plus UK bank holidays (usually 8 days) plus long service reward.
  5. Tools and Equipment: Company utility van with air conditioning, fuel card and all tolls paid upfront.
  6. Contract mobile phone and tablet and/or toughbook.
  7. All uniform and any PPE required.
  8. Any tools and equipment deemed necessary to fulfil your role.
  9. Weekend working: Optional weekend work as overtime (time and a half).
