Based in Birmingham - 3 Month temporary contract

Monday to Fridays Day Shift

£18 per hour plus holiday pay

This world-renowned manufacturing company is currently going through a growth period and following this success a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a Facilities and Mechanical Fitter to ensure the upkeep of the building and the assembly and refurbishment of specific mechanical components.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the Facilities and Mechanical Fitter will involve the following:

1. Perform planned and reactive maintenance on facility systems, lighting, alarms systems including boilers, pumps, and HVAC equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components to ensure operational efficiency.
3. Conduct fitting and installation work on plant equipment and infrastructure.
4. Support general facilities upkeep, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
5. Inspect, test, and maintain site utilities, including water, compressed air, and heating systems.

The Facilities and Mechanical Fitter must possess the following skills and experience:

1. A recognised Mechanical Qualification is essential.
2. Familiarity with boiler operation and Facilities maintenance is highly desirable.
3. Basic welding and fabrication skills are a must.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

The benefits of this contract are the following:

1. Monday to Friday Day shifts
2. 40 hours per week available
