Job description

Pacson is a family owned company based in Dundee, involved in the design, manufacture and testing of high integrity valves for the energy market, with a customer base spread across the World.

We are seeking a motivated individual who would like to train to develop skills and undertake drafting in AutoCAD and 3D solid modelling (Inventor) software packages to create and deliver drawings which adhere and comply with company standards, protocols and appropriate industry codes.

A positive and resourceful self-starter, you will be trained to take ownership of design drawings and work as part of a team. You will have a good understanding of form and function, be a creative thinker with an eye for detail and an interest in developing commercial awareness.

You will have some experience with AutoCAD or 3D software. 1+ years of drawing or making experience in a relevant industry will be required or you will have completed a relevant apprenticeship, technical qualification or degree.

Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Knowledge and experience in 2D drafting (AutoCAD) and 3D solid modelling (Inventor) software packages
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • A team player, with a 'can do' approach
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Ensuring designs are accurately prepared and returned within required deadlines
  • Experience within a computer aided design for manufacturing engineering department
