Our client, a leading cosmetics company, is seeking a Junior Demand Planner to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented individual to grow within a fast-paced, innovative beauty brand. As a Junior Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand, while balancing inventory and cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to create accurate demand forecasts for a portfolio of cosmetic products.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure optimal stock availability, avoiding both stockouts and overstocking.
Work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to align forecasts with business objectives, promotional plans, and new product launches.
Provide data-driven insights by tracking forecast accuracy, identifying trends, and reporting on performance metrics to support decision-making.
Maintain and update demand planning systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all relevant platforms.
Support in managing product lifecycle events such as launches, discontinuations, and promotional activities to minimize disruption to demand planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
Previous experience or internship in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles (preferably within the cosmetics or FMCG sectors).
Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with demand planning software (experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is a plus).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and thrive under pressure.
