This is a unique opportunity to join our high performing Data science team

Hybrid role 1-2 days a week onsite at Bankside, London.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of data science solutions across a variety of projects.
• Using cutting edge ML techniques to discover patterns and make predictions to help solve customer needs.
• Work closely with other data scientists, product owners and data engineers to deliver high quality data science powered solutions to interesting problems.
• Help prepare datasets to train and validate machine learning models.
• Support the deployment of machine learning models on our infrastructure.
• Readiness to contribute to a highly collaborative team with a culture of openness and ownership.
• Developing Data Science solutions in line with Haleon's responsible AI policy.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSc Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or another similar field.
• An understanding of data analysis techniques and their application to inform business processes.
• Working knowledge of programming in Python or R.
• Knowledge of common Python or R packages used in the Data Science toolkit. (Pandas, Numpy, Sci-Kit Learn, tidyverse etc.)
• Practical knowledge of statistical modelling techniques and applied Machine Learning algorithms.
• A working knowledge of using data loading and manipulation tools like SQL.
• Experience with using tools like GitHub for version control and managing code changes.
• Prior exposure to Agile methodologies for managing workflow and tasks.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Nice To Haves

• MSc Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
• Experience using Databricks and Spark.
• A working knowledge of OOP and contributing to large codebases.
