The role…

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our Team. This role is perfect for someone who loves problem-solving, thrives in a culture of continuous improvement, and is driven by impact.

Our Data team works on our unique, award-winning people analytics platform, Pirical On Demand. The Data team consists of 7 ambitious team members, including Data Engineers and Implementation Managers. The team has an informal, hard-working, and supportive team culture which allows us to deliver the best results!

Pirical On Demand is a growing product built on cutting-edge data engineering technologies and supported by efficient and scalable data pipelines. As a Junior Data Engineer in the Data Team, you will be responsible for running and maintaining all these pipelines – as well as contributing to building our POD Data Experience vision.

Our team is hybrid. You will be required to be in our London Shoreditch office a minimum of four days a week for the first six months and a minimum of two days a week after.

Role Responsibilities…

1. Maintain and improve existing pipelines to bring more automation and quality checks
2. Investigate and resolve issues in our data pipelines efficiently and quickly
3. Operate our semi-automated data pipelines
4. Work closely with our clients to troubleshoot their data problems
5. Interact with clients to collect the right data and to gain in-depth understanding of what the data represents
6. Interact with our pipeline engineers and implementation managers who are setting up new pipelines and upgrading existing pipelines

Required experience…

1. You have experience working with data (cleaning, transforming or analysing data)
2. You have experience working with Python and at least 2 of either Pandas, SQL, and Excel/Google Sheet
3. You have some form of customer facing experience
