Junior Data Consultant

I am currently working with a boutique consultancy that is looking to grow their team of data-focused consultants. In this role, your responsibilities will be split between the implementation of client projects and delivering training to clients on the use of Power BI and other BI tools.

You will have the opportunity to work on end-to-end delivery on projects that will focus on data warehouse development, ETL pipeline creation, and front-end data visualization. You will work with other senior members to bridge any knowledge gaps you may have in these areas. When delivering training, you will use pre-existing material to train people on the basics of Power BI as part of the organization's pre-sales activity.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for some of the following areas:

• Working as part of a close-knit team to ensure timely delivery on client projects.
• Creating on-premise and cloud-based data warehouse solutions in line with client requirements.
• Creating insightful visualizations to aid clients in data-driven decision-making activities.
• Extracting data from various sources, undertaking the needed transformations, and loading into Power BI.
• Delivering training programs and workshops to external stakeholders using in-house Power BI training guides.

This is a salaried role paying up to £30,000 per year depending on experience. This is a hybrid opportunity, based from the company's Watford office, as well as travel to client sites as required. You may also be required to attend the company offices in Watford for workshops, training, or team events.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Commercial experience creating insights, dashboards, and reports with Power BI.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Strong data warehousing experience.
• ETL experience with tools such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
