What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
You will be a user-centred designer who specialises in content, usually words. You will make things easy for people to understand and use, by designing how information is structured.
You'll work with the support and supervision of an experienced content designer to create content that's consistent with the GOV.UK and DWP style guides and design systems, and with best practice.
You will work with user researchers and interaction designers to create and test designs, along with stakeholders outside your team to make sure that content is accurate - this might include fact-checking or pair-writing.
You'll also be part of DWP's user-centred design community of practice. This includes getting your work reviewed by other content designers and reviewing their work, and access to learning that helps you be at your best now and as your career progresses.
