An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Upper GI team. The post will comprise of a rota pattern consisting of Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 normal working days, day and night on-calls over weekdays and weekends which will cover the surgical assessment unit (SAU) and emergency theatres.
Clinical duties will include:

Admission and review of patients in the Emergency Department. Supporting the team in theatre. Supporting the Upper GI team with ward rounds. Supporting the team with outpatient clinics and follow up. Participation in clinical audit within the Unit. Opportunity to engage in clinical research. Active involvement in the training and supervision of Junior Medical Staff and medical students on ward rounds, in theatre and in clinics. To take part in the junior clinical fellow on-call rota for General Surgery.
