About Metalchemy

About The Role

We're seeking a production chemist to support an experienced team. In this role, you'll contribute to preparation, formulation and packaging of our unique gold and silver nanoparticle products. Within the role you will gain experience of chemical synthesis, quality control (ISO:9001) and production scheduling.


Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate the production, packaging and despatch of our cosmetics products.
  2. Preparation and formulation of bespoke samples/new product development.
  3. Characterisation and analysis of nanoparticle batches and record keeping for batch records.
  4. Ensure production needs are consistently met and production planning, supporting continuous scale-up optimisation.
  5. Assist product development, and prototyping, ensuring quality control, compliance with international standards (ISO:9001:2015).
  6. Communicate progress and achievements through detailed reports and presentations, engaging with stakeholders across various platforms to sustain interest and investment in our products.

Qualifications

  1. Advanced degrees (BSc/BEng, Masters, PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science and related fields.
  2. 2-3 years of experience (either academic or professional) in a chemical workspace.
  3. Compliance with health and safety practices in the workplace.
  4. Matlab, Python, GAMS, Excel and other related data analysis tools proficiency.
  5. Project management and budgeting skills are essential.
  6. Excellent communication skills and growth mindset.
