We're recruiting for a forward-thinking Junior Buyer (internally known as Junior Product Lead) within the Hand Tools & Workwear team. This role supports the development of affordable and sustainable innovation in OEB (Own Exclusive Brands), to be more agile in new product development and be more impactful on performance.

What's the job
  • Support the Product Lead to manage all selected OEB projects and ranges from concept and range construction through to delivery.
  • Identify commercial potential for the OEB range by analysing relevant data, trends & industry insights and utilising to create, deliver and maintain a more customer-centric, relevant, and right-sized range construction.
  • Partner with the Product Lead on identifying New Product Development opportunities, inputting into eligibility criteria, and using the Business direction.
  • Ensure the Product Lead is kept up to date with current project milestones & KPIs.
  • Work with the Product Lead to lead a cross-functional expert team (Sourcing, designers, engineers, Quality, Brand, Packaging etc.) across OEB Range development and validation.
What you'll bring
  • Previous industry and product knowledge experience within a retail environment, with general knowledge of OEB brands and products.
  • Effectively manage relationships with stakeholders through exceptional communication, influence and stakeholder management skills within a complex matrix organisation.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to analyse multiple commercial and customer insights and draw insight, leading to commercial recommendations.
  • Strong analytical skills to draw insight from a variety of commercial and customer data points and identify trends.
