About Our Client

A great opportunity for a Junior Buyer to join a growing Multi Channel business in the Trafford Park area. The business has several different trading and Ecommerce Channels, from Direct to consumer, B2B, trade and project work. They have supplied the likes of Next, Adidas, Mulberry as well as restaurants and TV shows. Due to strong trade, they are looking to add a Junior Buyer to the team.

Job Description

  • Conduct data analysis to support product strategy and day-to-day decisions.
  • Perform competitor benchmarking to maintain strong market knowledge.
  • Implement and manage key buying processes with a focus on efficiency.
  • Manage the critical path and support Assistant Buyers in meeting deadlines.
  • Use our Technical Assessment Management and Product Inventory Management system to oversee product launches from concept to sign-off.
  • Sign off on product briefs, ensuring they cover key features, benefits, and target markets.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to optimize content for new product launches.
  • Present in Offline Sales meetings to provide important information and understand customer needs.
  • Manage and coach Assistant Buyers, facilitating internal promotions and team development.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as requested by the Senior Buyer and Head of Product.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in range building and data analysis.
  • Ideally product experience in homeware, lighting, or similar.
  • Experience working with suppliers from different countries of origin.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Passion for product and trade with a desire to make a difference in the business.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience managing an Assistant Buyer or Buyers Admin Assistant is preferred.
