Junior Buyer
Are you looking for a Junior Buyer role? Interested in working for a leading engineering and infrastructure contractor?
VANRATH are recruiting a Junior Buyer to sit within the commercial department of a leading contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with Project Teams to confirm material and plant requirements
- Assist the buyer in identification of potential suppliers
- Supporting the Buyer in obtaining quotations for materials & plant
- Contacting a range of suppliers and sub‐contractors to obtain quotations
- Reviewing quotations received and identifying best value options
- Coordinating with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise
- Agreeing delivery times
- Processing purchase orders
- Assisting the Pre-Contract team in obtaining prices for use in tendering
- Confirming daily call-off quantities from bulk orders
- Supporting the Commercial team with invoice queries
- Liaising with suppliers in relation to invoice queries and resolving any disputed invoices in a timely manner
- Keeping detailed records and maintaining well‐organised work schedules
- Providing weekly and monthly cost reports to Commercial team based on orders placed & delivered
- Updating procurement schedules with orders confirmed
- Updating materials ordered / delivered register
