Are you an enthusiastic and ambitious finance professional who is eager to develop into Junior Accountant (m/f/d) we are looking for?

Responsibilities

• Ongoing processing of financial accounting for individual Group companies.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS for consolidation/reporting purposes as well as annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
• Analysing and interpreting balance sheets and determining important key figures that form the basis for business management decisions.
• Competent contact person for auditors, tax consultants, internal managers and internal auditors.
• Support in projects for the further development, optimization and implementation of systems, processes and accounting guidelines.
• Support of the financial accounting of individual Group companies.
• Work closely with other departments of the company and communicate directly with the Teamlead.
• Responsibility for operational processes in accounting and independent support of the financial accounting of individual Group companies.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS for consolidation/reporting purposes as well as annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
• Competent contact person for auditors, tax consultants, internal managers and tax auditors.
• Support during tax audits by the tax authorities.
• Support in projects for the further development, optimization and implementation of systems, processes and accounting guidelines.
• Guidelines and support for the assigned current account employees.
• Creation of statistics and analyses.
• Professional contact person for colleagues in accounting and other departments.

Requirements

• University degree in economics or a comparable qualification.
• Completed commercial apprenticeship.
• 2+ years of professional experience in national (HGB) and international accounting (IFRS).
• Several years of professional experience in the accounting department of a company.
• Knowledge of accounting according to IFRS and HGB.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Experience, preferably in a company with group structures.
• Good knowledge of SAP FI and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Quick comprehension and strong organizational skills.
• Strong ability to work in a team and high service orientation (friendly and very confident appearance at all levels).
