Role: Junior Accountant

Start: ASAP

Location: Outskirts of Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week - flexible start and finish times

Duration: Permanent

Benefits: 22 days plus Bank Holidays and Birthday day off, 3 study/personal development days. Who are we?

Duties will include:

1. Communicate effectively and professionally to your portfolio of clients
2. Prepare financial statements
3. Handle corporation tax returns and self-assessment tax returns for clients
4. Address queries and provide necessary information to clients
5. Communicate with HMRC to resolve any client issues
6. Assist with bookkeeping and VAT returns when workload permits
7. Work closely with team members to support various accounting tasks

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Studying towards, or intending to study, an AAT, ACCA, or similar certification
2. Experience with Xero and IRIS is preferable but not essential
