Junior Accountant

Bennett and Game are delighted to be working alongside a reputable local accountancy practice in Oxford, as they recruit for a Junior Accountant. Offering up to £30k, study support, progression, training, and more.

This is a small practice, who are looking to grow an accountant, progressing them throughout the business. There will be on-the-job training, support, and development. This job is ideal for someone with a minimum of 1 year accountancy practice experience.

Accounts Trainee Job Overview

1. Bookkeeping and Accounts preparation - assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Preparing accounts up to trial balance for review.
2. Tax compliance support - Prepare VAT returns, and submit to HMRC within deadlines.
3. Client Management - Communicate with clients to manage relationships, and respond to queries.
4. Assisting Senior team members - assisting in preparation of statutory accounts, and supporting on audits.
5. Compliance and reporting - ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Accounts Trainee Job Requirements

1. AAT Level 3 is preferred. Any further qualifications is a bonus.
2. Minimum of 1 year accountancy practice experience.
3. Confidence and ability to complete trial balance.
4. Experience in bookkeeping.
5. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Able to commute to Oxford.
7. No requirement for visa sponsorship.
