Role: Junior Accountant

Location: Remote

Type: Full time

Salary: up to £35,000

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Accountant who’d like to have a varied role and be an integral part of a growing business.

We’re looking for someone with:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field
2. Basic understanding of accounting principles
3. Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Xero, ApprovalMax, Pleo, Datamolino)
4. Honesty, integrity and reliability
5. Organisational and communication skills
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Discreet, understanding the nature of confidential company information

What you’ll get up to:

1. Act as the main finance contact for General Managers
2. Manage purchase ledger, including invoice processing and payment runs
3. Reconcile bank statements daily and ensure accurate Trial Balance postings
4. Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
5. Ensure accurate VAT returns, financial reports, and compliance with company policies
6. Support payroll review, expense management, and efficiency improvements
7. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis
8. Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and manage finance system setup for new team members
