About Our Client

The company is an FMCG (drinks) wholesaler looking for a Junior Accountant to join the small finance team. The role will report directly to the Head of Finance and will provide a wealth of exposure across the full company accounts. They have a comprehensive portfolio of products and consistently deliver high-quality offerings to their broad customer base. The company is growing over the next year and is looking to add to the headcount as they bring the finance operations back in-house.

Job Description

The successful Junior Accountant will:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports
• End-to-end management of the Accounts Payable ledger
• Process purchase ledger invoices
• Manage payment runs
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Conduct supplier statement reconciliations
• Support the Accounting and Finance department in budgeting and forecasting
• Handle credit card reconciliations and expense processing
• Undertake ad hoc work

The Successful Applicant

A successful Junior Accountant should have:

• MUST have prior working knowledge of the Sage 200 (or Sage 50) system
• Approximately 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, ideally from a stock-based industry
• Studying towards the ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualification
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player eager to develop through the team
• Willingness to work 5 days a week in the South West London office
