The insight industry’s function is to reflect society’s behaviours on and offline. Let's face it what happens online is still a bit of a new frontier and has created exciting opportunities to interface with consumer audiences, customers and society in a very direct way.

We are hiring for a team of researchers who have developed ground breaking social media listening offer and who are now part of a global full service research organisation. They add this data and learnings to a rich mix of existing business intelligence to help predict and understand the arc of new trends and audience or customer opinions and attitudes.

They are using modern techniques and utilise artificial intelligence and analytics to help the clients "get out in front" on understanding their markets. This team's success has meant it is a fast growing area of this global research business with lots of buzz and investment behind it and there is bags of potential for its future. Maybe more so than some of the more traditional areas of research so a great time to join and learn new things and build on your existing market research experience.

You should have a desire to work in the information consulting space and have some market research experience. What is important is that you enjoy client service and have the self-confidence to build commercial relationships that last by delivering and becoming a trusted advisor.

You could currently be in b2b or consumer research; continuous or ad hoc research; you could be in market or business intelligence.

The client is rightly proud that their work is helping shape how the industry views and uses social data so some previous experience of social media listening would be a bonus but not essential as long as you can demonstrate and interest in this area.
