Step into the role of Senior Buyer (9 Month - Fixed Term Contract)!

Discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral role here at Joules Head Office.

Your role of Senior Buyer sits within our friendly and creative Buying department.

Your Role:

1. Implement strategy set out by the CEO/Head of Partnerships and drive the strategic objectives daily through the buying team.
2. Manage team performance and demonstrate exemplary Leadership by balancing high-level support with challenge to get the very best from our Buying team.
3. Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers, defining business plans for mutual growth and to leverage relationships.
4. Interpret the impact of shifting micro and macro influences to manage risk.
5. Analyse and interpret a significant volume of data and assimilate/make recommendations to influence future ranges.
6. Deputise for the Buying Manager in key meetings with the Operational Board.
7. Ensure all documentation and data is accurate in order to meet the required standards and understand the impact of inaccuracies.
8. Focus on the bottom line and understand the impact of all decisions on the business.
9. This particular role will focus on Womenswear to include wovens, soft separates, dresses, blouses, shirts, denim and skirts.

From a technical and operational perspective, it would also be advantageous if you have:

1. Proven track record in working across multiple product categories/genders with advanced knowledge of the levers for margin and profit.
2. A broad understanding of buying, merchandising, design and technical functions.
3. Equipped with advanced knowledge of product construction, costing, manufacturing, quality and critical path management.
4. Determination to consistently achieve high standards of performance in the face of pressure and changing circumstances.
5. Well informed on sustainable supply chains with good knowledge of responsible purchasing practices.
6. The ability to really make this role your own, we’re eager to welcome someone with a new and dynamic take on buying.

This is a full time role based at our Head Office. Please note that this is a 9 month, fixed term contract covering maternity leave.
