Joiner With IPAF Licence

Barnsley Recruitment Services are seeking a skilled Joiner with a valid IPAF licence to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with experience in using both hand and power tools. This role involves fabricating and installing various structures, primarily focusing on roofs and other wooden frameworks. The successful applicant will be expected to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including roofs, doors, and windows.
2. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete joinery tasks.
3. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications.
4. Perform heavy lifting as required for the installation of materials.
5. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including masons and painters, to complete projects.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
7. Conduct repairs and renovations as necessary on existing structures.

Requirements

1. IPAF Licence
2. Level 3 Joinery
3. Blue CSCS card
4. Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential.
5. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
6. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks.
7. Knowledge of roofing techniques and materials is an advantage.
8. Experience with masonry work is desirable but not mandatory.
9. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
11. A valid driving licence may be required for site visits.
