Avanti Recruitment is currently partnered with a leading education-focused company and we are looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join their engineering team. You'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining high-performance backend systems that power their educational platform, impacting thousands of learners worldwide.

Core Technologies

1. Node.js & TypeScript
2. GraphQL & REST APIs
3. MySQL & PlanetScale
4. Docker

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop scalable microservices architecture
2. Create and maintain efficient APIs using GraphQL and RESTful principles
3. Write clean, testable server-side code
4. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills

1. Good experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
2. Node.js and microservices development experience
3. Solid understanding of web service architectures
4. Experience with MySQL and distributed databases
5. Strong testing background (unit and integration)
6. Knowledge of container technologies (Docker)

Desirable Skills

1. Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify)
2. Frontend knowledge (React/Remix)

Working Arrangements

Hybrid working model: 3 days office-based, 2 days remote in Birmingham
