Java Developer

Java Developer - Back End, SaaS Products.

The Company: Specialist technology provider, with extensive experience in their sector, working with renowned national organisations providing business critical, real-time software products, utilising leading-edge technology, encompassing advanced algorithms, data gathering, agile methods and reporting.

The Opportunity: The company is looking for an experienced Java Developer for a predominantly Back End role, to develop and enhance their core products, working in a hybrid role (1 day a week in the office of your choice).

Technical skills experience for the Java Developer role:

• Strong Java Development background (minimum 5 years), working up to Java 8 and above.
• Experience working in software applications/products-based teams, ideally with a similar SME software applications/product provider, SaaS or start-up.
• Messaging technologies – IBM MQ / Rabbit MQ or similar.
• Containerisation Implementation – Docker/ Microservices.
• Eclipse and/or IntelliJ.
• Unit testing/mocking frameworks, ideally JUnit/Mockito/Karma/Jasmine and/or Protractor.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Stand-Up environment and contribute with insights.

Beneficial (nice to have, not essential) experience:

• Linux, JPA/Hibernate
• Cloud AWS or AZURE
• Relational/No SQL Databases
• Knowledge of React/Angular

The company offers a Hybrid working environment working from home and 1 day per week in either of their East Midlands, Bucks or London offices, with a base salary range of £55-£65K, depending on experience and a great benefits package, with a genuine emphasis on employee well-being and fostering a great team environment.
