Job Description:
Azule Energy Holdings Limited, a JV of ENI & BP, is seeking a Group Reporting Advisor to join our London finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the preparation and consolidation of the Italian companies consolidated financial statements and financial management of the Holding Company (AEHL).
You will ideally be a trained Italian Accountant who has experience with:
- Understanding Italian legal, regulatory and financial reporting requirements
- Familiarity with fiscal bodies & other regulatory bodies needing adhoc reporting support
- Proficiency in understanding Italian filing deadlines
- Coordination with statutory auditors (Collegio Sindicale)
- Coordination with the Italian based company secretary
The role will involve but is not limited to the below:
- Ownership of accounting & financials by delivery of Statutory accounts.
- Ownership of JV reporting & asset accounting projects for 2024.
- Maintain working files & updating reporting template.
- Automate cost reporting template for inclusion in financial statements.
- Maintain and update intercompany reporting & matrix.
- Ownership for working capital for Azule's entities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, owning the audit process from planning to completion.
- Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial reporting systems and processes.
- Work on the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross geographical Azule Finance teams to ensure quality and completeness of financial reporting.
- Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures to enhance the overall control environment.
- Ensure financial applications are robust and align with the business requirements.
- Aid in the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly reporting and addressing additional requests.
The Successful Applicant:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) is required, preferably from Italy, and proficiency in Italian language.
- Knowledge of dealing with accounting & reporting in the Italian regulatory environment.
- Solid financial reporting working knowledge, with exposure to group reporting activities, preferably with the BIG 4 in Italy.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting skills.
- Working knowledge with ERP systems and ability to develop and optimize system reports.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
