Salary: £46,503.00 - £50,088.00 per annum plus market factor of £4,791 per annum (market factor subject to annual review)

West Yorkshire Police are looking to recruit 3 Digital IT Project Managers to join the Digital Policing Directorate based in Wakefield.

As part of the Digital Innovation team, you will influence the future technological composition and direction of the organisation by implementing innovative new technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness in policing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing, controlling, and coordinating the effective and efficient design, delivery, and implementation of a wide range of Digital Policing related projects.
  2. Ensuring projects are managed professionally and effectively using appropriate project management techniques to ensure completion to agreed timescales, quality, and budget.
  3. Managing internal customers and a wide range of professional and specialist supplier teams.

Qualifications:

  1. Detailed knowledge of Project Management and substantive experience in technology project planning and control.
  2. Prince2 Practitioner qualification or equivalent Project Management qualification.
  3. Experience of using Microsoft Project or similar Project Management software.
  4. Relevant degree or equivalent experience.

The ideal candidates will also demonstrate significant experience of leading, developing, managing, and coordinating major corporate technology projects, as well as detailed knowledge, understanding, and experience of technology change and delivery methodologies in a service-oriented environment.

We seek candidates who can demonstrate their proven ability to lead, motivate, and direct project teams comprising of internal stakeholders, professional support, and external suppliers, and who can evidence their experience of successfully influencing Senior Managers.

Furthermore, candidates should have a proven ability to interpret business needs, technical requirements, and system specifications into tender documentation, and can oversee implementation.

Owing to the nature of this role, candidates must be willing and able to travel for business purposes to be considered for this position.
