IT Support Team Lead - £37,000 - MSP - Gillingham

We are recruiting for an IT Support Team Lead on behalf of a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the Gillingham area. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role where you will oversee a team of skilled IT support engineers, ensuring the highest level of service delivery to a client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT support engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Oversee IT service desk operations, managing ticket queues and ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN configurations.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory.
  • Perform basic server administration tasks such as file sharing, security management, and user access control.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft 365 environments, including troubleshooting and administration.
  • Work with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Implement and oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, translating technical issues into user-friendly solutions.
  • Visit client sites to help with onboarding & deal with any serious issues.

Experience in a team lead/management role is not essential. We will consider candidates who have a very strong support background and who are looking to take a step up into a lead role.
