Job Title: IT Support Manager (macOS) - 1st Line Support

Location: Leeds (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

Rate: Circa 350/Day

Working Pattern: Full Time

Are you an experienced macOS engineer with a passion for providing exceptional support? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to play a key role in building a new support service for our Apple MAC estate? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

At our organisation, we are committed to helping our colleagues make a difference to customers, businesses, and communities. As the UK's largest retail and commercial bank, we are looking for someone to join our team in Leeds and help us enhance our IT services.


What We're Looking For:

Essential Technical Skills:
  1. Experience in macOS and Apple hardware support.
  2. Knowledge of JAMF, Service Now and Apple Business Manager.
  3. Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues in macOS environments.
  4. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra and Active Directory.
  5. Strong troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  6. Understanding of network protocols, security, and system administration.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Desired Skills:
  1. Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions for Apple devices.
  2. Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  3. Experience supporting colleagues in diverse environments, including home setups.
  4. Previous use of ServiceNow for incident management.
  5. Familiarity with Smart Phone technology, particularly iPhone and related applications.

What You'll Do:
  1. Provide advanced 1st line support for macOS, applications, and hardware, including peripherals.
  2. Deliver outstanding customer service and technical assistance.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to macOS and network connectivity.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement service improvements.
  5. Develop and maintain comprehensive macOS troubleshooting guides.
  6. Train and mentor junior IT staff on macOS support and best practices.
  7. Act as a point of technical expertise within our IT services.
  8. Utilise ServiceNow to analyse the impact of the Mac Support service and manage critical issues.
